Ray Davies in (and of) the Times

In a remarkable burst of synchronicity, the New York Times published
this article about singer-songwriter Ray Davies, creator of the songs of the Kinks and the tunestack for the upcoming UArts musical theater production of “Picture Book: A Rock and Roll Fantasy.” He calls his songs “small plays.”
